Honda introduced the concept of the updated Civic, which demonstrates how the serial version of the novelty will look like.

The prototype has a more complex and prestigious design compared to the current model. Honda notes that the serial version of the new Civic will be released to the U.S. market in the spring of 2021, first in the body of the sedan, and then there will be a hatchback, Civic Si and Civic Type R.


The designers of the Japanese company, in fact, took the 10th generation model and applied new elements, such as a low hood and other front wings. The front part is decorated with a new vertical grille and characteristic headlights. In addition, the prototype has a rear part with a wider track and new lights. The concept also has a new body tint called Solar Flare Pearl.


What concerns the interior of the Civic prototype, the manufacturer did not show it, having published only a sketch, judging by which the interior will be decorated in a minimalistic style, the 9-inch screen of the multimedia system, digital dashboard and much more is expected.

The Japanese company said the new Civic will receive many new active and passive security systems, including an upgraded version of Honda Sensing and new airbags. The novelty, in particular, will have a body structure made by Honda Advanced Compatibility Engineering technology, which will protect passengers and pedestrians from collisions.

Honda said that they will set up production of the new Civic in North America, with the model in the hatchback body to be produced in the city of Greensburg, USA.
