Subaru Company on Wednesday, November 18, demonstrated the second generation of BRZ sports coupe.
The novelty is equipped with a modernized chassis and 2.4-liter 228 hp engine. The new engine provides a lower center of gravity and can operate together with a 6-stage MCP or ACPS, which has a new Sport mode that allows you to switch between speeds faster.
The weight of the new BRZ is 1315 kg, and this was achieved through the aluminum roof, front fenders and hood. Speaking of the interior of the model, there is a new 7-inch digital dashboard, which can display various information, as well as a multimedia system with 8-inch screen and support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In turn, the expensive equipment of the sports car will also get the branded system EyeSight Driver Assist Technology from Subaru.
What concerns the dimensions of the novelty, it became 30 mm longer than its predecessor, the width is similar and lower by 10 mm, and the size of the wheelbase is 2575 mm, which is 5 mm more than the outgoing model. At the same time, the Japanese company has not yet disclosed the dynamic performance of the updated BRZ.
The Subaru notes that it will establish production of the new BRZ model at its factory in Japan. Sales of the new products are to start next fall.
