Škoda Enyaq iV is the first serial electric model of Škoda built on the "Volkswagen" modular platform MEB for electric cars. Announcing the premiere of the crossover, the company has published the first official teaser with a schematic representation of the silhouette of the car, although the appearance of serial Enyaq iV has long been no secret to anyone. Earlier Škoda itself provided full information on technical characteristics of the electric car.
Škoda Enyaq iV will not only mark the return to the rear drive, but will also become the most powerful serial model of the Czech brand. In the vRS version, the electric crossover will develop 306 hp, which means it will surpass the 280 hp Superb. Also Enyaq iV is promised a wide range of "smart" features and a spacious interior, which will comfortably accommodate five people. According to the developers, in length it will be shorter than Octavia, but will be able to offer approximately the same spacious interior as Kodiaq.
Overall length of the crossover is 4648 mm, width - 1877 mm, height - 1618 mm. The size of wheelbase is 2765 mm. Volume of a luggage compartment - 585 l.
The longest range will be rear-wheel drive version Enyaq iV 80 with a 150 kW (204 hp) engine and 82 kWh battery. The range of such crossover is up to 500 km on a WLTP cycle. From the high-speed charging station from 10 to 80% of capacity the battery of the electric car can be charged in only 40 minutes. Also Enyaq iV will be offered with 55 and 62 kWh batteries capable of driving up to 340 and 390 km respectively.
Series production of Škoda Enyaq iV will start at the end of this year at the factory in Mladá Boleslav. The first to assemble 1895 crossovers in a special version of Founer's Edition, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the brand. The novelty will appear on the market in early 2021.
