Toyota.Australian Toyota has announced the launch of a local service campaign for this model.
In Australia, new Toyota Hilux pickups were recalled from the assembly line between June 1 and August 4, 2020. There are only 15 cars. The reason for the recall was not the manufacturing defect of any auto component, as it often happens, but one purely "bureaucratic" moment.
There are no matching signs on these pickups. They are mandatory to prove that the vehicles meet Australian standards. They must have been installed during local handling at the port.
This procedure was not carried out yet. Now the dealers will have to fix this defect. It won't take more than half an hour to set the match mark, provided the dealer is not uploaded.
Toyota Hilux starts at A$ 29,000 ($21,200). A fully-equipped pickup truck will cost already A$74,000 ($54,100).
